Punk Grandad is the culmination of too many beers shared between two mates. It started as a giggle and has evolved into a site where we will share our thoughts, our music and our humour...in the shape of our T-shirts.

We believe they pay homage to the era of our youth, but recognise the fact we are not getting any younger.

We will provide you with links to other Punk sites, list the music we love and probably reminisce about the good old days when a Crass record was no more than 35p and Johnny hadn't been in the jungle.

 

.....and so it all began. There have been many arguments about when Punk Rock started,whether its a carry on from rock 'n' roll, the sixties or even 70's Glam. Whether its an attitude or a fashion, a passing phase, or a way of life.

It doesn't really matter to me...all I know is that it grabbed a 14 year old boy by the bollocks and carried him through life with a smile on his face and a love of fast, loud music.

So what mattered most, the music? the image? the attitude?...probably a mixture of all three. But in addition to these we now have the benefit of experience. We can laugh at ourselves, we can listen to our kids and laugh at them, and we can look back and realise we were a part of something new, something exciting and above all something that changed the world.
